Anyway, we dominated you for eighty minutes this afternoon and should have been well out of sight before Lambe's goal. Your players would have been better off staying on their feet trying to play football rather than constantly throwing themselves to the ground cheating to win free-kicks. As it was, despite your late fluster and bluster we easily beat you today. In fact if our manager hadn't replaced Watt with Charters it would've kept the midfield sewn up and we'd have probably scored another couple of goals. In fact, I see a load more UK / European football now most it takes place early on Saturday / Sunday mornings here, it's by some distance more convenient.

My misplaced faith in Cambridge beating Carlisle is mirrored in your arrogance in regard to league spot. Cambridge is booming, new towns are springing up everywhere. we are 45 minutes from London.

Attendance is due to population density, even now we are on a par with you. Cambridge will become a championship team.

Yes and there's the rub - you are 45 minutes away from London and all the Premier League football plus all the other attractions.

Attendance is not just due to population density, it's down to how much your population can be distracted by competing activities of a Saturday. Let's be honest about this, Cambridge has never really been a football city and the folk in the new towns will be Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool supporters - with Wives who want to visit London on Saturday to go shopping with their husbands (if not keep the kids happy).

Frankly, it's easier in Carlisle because the city's in the ar5e end of nowhere and there's fewer bright lights on a Saturday afternoon - if we're doing well on the pitch we are the bright lights. Plus, we have the potential support, with all due respect - Cambridge do not. We've taken over 27,000 to Wembley a few times and we took 10,000 away from home for Conference game. It's not unrealistic with the support we have and our catchment area to pull in average five figure crowds at tier two level.

Your record attendance is only 14,000 (ours is double this) and your ground only holds 8,000.

It is criminal (with every respect to you and your club) we are below you in the league - and we are where we are purely on merit because the owners and us supporters all truly deserve it. You don't have to wind me up, the reality of where we are in the league hurts more than any words you can type

One day however, we will fulfill our potential again. We will become an established tier two club again (with perhaps even the odd flirtation with the top flight again), we will beat the likes of Roma in the Olympic Stadium again and we will flirt once more with major cup finals (none of this trophy business). This is, and will be, our destiny.

I have nothing against Cambridge Psaw, despite the John Beck years, you do really well for a little club and I respect that. You're probably one of the least offensive teams in the league on the whole - and I genuinely wish you luck in your quest to get to tier two. There is a huge Tottenham fan base here, even I went about half a dozen times, I saw Martin Peters debut, they lost to Coventry. I never went when United were at home. Despite this, and Cambridge being rural, we made it into the football league in 1970. Cambridge is becoming a proper city. Money is flowing in from everywhere in regards to new leading edge tech.

We need a proper club to represent the city, im sure those people will make sure it happens. The government is paving over Anglia with housing to house all the illegals from the 1980s, a disgrace.

The beauty of Anglia is being lost. Those people will want to watch football, but not at premiership prices. When I was a lad, you could walk into white hart lane and pay for it with the change in your pocket. The key to getting in was to queue up well before kick off at the turnstiles.

Carlisle does not have this.

You had better get used to being below us in the league, that wont change. Having said that, who knows what the future holds, who would have thought Carlisle would be where they are now?
