I would imagine there will be some kind of appeals process, right? And that will probably take several weeks to be heard - could be a much worse situation if we appeal and end up putting in Meslier for the first time in the last 7/8 matches instead of now, where he would be potentially under a lot more pressure.
Be better just to "do the time", get it over with and said in the reply to WG, f00k em.

They don't need to hear it WG, just need a couple of Leeds players to make something up and stick to their guns

This makes me mad. Hope we can send them down on the last day. That would be good, even better if kiko plays.

This news should be the motivation the players the players need to kick on now and secure promotion.

Remember, demotion, points deduction, and a run of games when were unbeatable and unbeaten. Leeds United against the world and his uncle. Never forgotten, never will be.

Hope Meslier doesn't stuff up early, as I'm sure plenty will denounce him quickly also. More importantly...hope he don't get hurt, as not sure what the backup is going to look like!

Goalkeepers make mistakes every season - if he does then it shouldn't lead to criticism unless it's repeated and constant like it has been with Coco.

Hopefully the first time he makes a mistake will not be costly for the team and he will learn like other keepers that one or two a season shouldn't affect confidence.

I think his confidence will be the key even if he does make an error - looking at him against Arsenal and seeing what Bielsa has said, i don't see him lacking confidence atm.

Any news as to whether he will start today?

Agree...but Im sure you have seen the lack of tolerance on here at times?? Making an error will be a minor issue compared to injury at this crucial stage.

I've argued long and hard that Meslier should be played given Casillas performance over a long period of time. I'd agree with Jez that one or two "fluffs" are almost inevitable, just hope they aren't costly ones.

He should and will get everyone's backing, at the ground or otherwise, and I hope (despite the circumstances), he takes the opportunity to show he's worthy of a No. 1 spot on his own merits.
