Reading across social media though it seems both Leeds and Liverpool fans are both joined at the hip over this issue and massively against it as they are more interested in seeing their clubs achieve things ahead of seeing something done which will help stop the spread of a virus which has so far claimed lives.

Today alone starvation killed more people than this virus will kill in six months, just to keep things in perspective.

Think we should dial down the hysteria just a tad.

"However, the virus is not nearly as deadly as the common flu, which experts have warned should still take priority in the medical battle.

Influenza can lead to thousands of deaths a year, with the University of Oxford stating that as long ago as 2008-2009, there were 13,000 deaths in the UK alone related to the flu.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that an average of up to 500,000 people die annually across the globe due to the flu.

Since October alone, 20,000 people died from flu complications in the US, which has led to one expert describing the coronavirus as a “blip”.

Yes, I'm a Leeds supporter, and if the season finishes now, the standing should do just that, stand! But whether I was or wasn't, or Leeds were top or not, the absolute hysteria about corona is appalling, and fed by media hype in order to sell air time/column inches of advertising rather than any serious attempt to inform.

If people who are at very low risk (just about 80% of the population as a whole), were responsible, and helped those who ARE at risk, (elderly, those with underlying health problems etc.), maybe GPs and the rest of the NHS "machine" would be able to help those who ARE at risk, rather than having their hand wash dispensers pulled off the wall by those who clearly are strong enough to do so.

A ridiculous post of the year candidate. You play over 3/4 of a season and then just close up the league and start over next year with no change in the divisions. Like grade school over here stateside where there are no losers or winners anymore. Everyone get's participation awards. F*ck you. That's fine for socialists, academics and beta males but it's also a sure fire way to kill off a sport. I have little or no interest in spending money or time to watch an event where there is no resolution. if I want that I'll go to the dog park and watch the dogs running and walking aimlessly.

Let me guess, your team is in the relegation zone.

    Embarrassing and gutless.
