True. Probably on a level with cricket in terms of fitness required. Highly skillful and athletic though, in short bursts and some of the throwing abilities are exceptional.

Yes indeed and Cricketers get fed twice at lunch and tea to keep their energy levels up for standing around a lot.
Mike Gatting used to have three courses Even if he was batting

England batsman Jonny Bairstow’s mother has been elected as the first female vice-president of Yorkshire CCC.

Janet Bairstow, whose late husband David also played for the county, was confirmed at Saturday's club’s AGM.

She has previously worked as the cricket department administrator at Headingley.

Nowt new to report on the planned starting date for the season (28th May), but just letting you all know that the White Rose Forum has put on a link to the highlights (90mins) of the 1987 B & H one-day final (unflappable Jim Love game). We may end up only seeing "one-dayers" if/when the season eventually starts, although it would be good to see any cricket, given the current situation.

County championship and one-dayer cricket season starting date is now officially July (if possible) with a rescheduled fixture list

Darren Gough, who is usually a "cricket optimist", has just been saying on TalkSport Radio that he can't envisage any red ball cricket being played this season.
