Thread: Wages

Bayern Munich the latest to agree 20% cuts in salaries to players and others high earners.

Agreements or use of government deals to subsidise wages are happening all over Europe - it is getting to the stage where Scotland is looking distinctly odd with only Hearts taking action so far.

Maybe keeping their powder dry for now.

I will be very surprised if Sevco make payroll at the end of the month. Most other SPL clubs probably will but April will be an issue and if Sevco have defaulted already it will make life easier for others as the SFA and SPFL will be moving heaven and earth again to assist Sevco.

    Who knows.

But after the postponement of the Olympics, I think/hope the penny will drop that this isn't just a bumpy few weeks to be seen off.

Wages will need cut and this season needs to be wrapped asap in order to resume a proper campaign in 20/21 as soon as viable.
