    Anyone here still think...

... That this whole virus thing is being overplayed .. scaremongering.. exaggerated? Well the government has intervened and closed pubs, clubs cafe’s ,restaurants etc and a good job aswell as far to many people sitting in these establishments moaning about how its all hype and basically putting the world to rights whilst spreading their germs. The government dont hand out BILLIONS of pounds for nowt! and that folks is a FACT!

Over last few days been thinking that if ever there was a time for the worlds huge money making corporations & individuals to give something back its now. Giants like coke, walmart, tesco, disney, etc. Billionaires in saudi, bill gates, richard branson, etc. Sportsmen, musicians, actors like tiger,rory,beckham,ronaldo,nadal,messi,u2,queen,ad ele,ed,beyonce, all of hollywood etc. Add any names you like. All could lose millions each & not even blink. Dont care what they already give to charity they could single handidly save millions of jobs & ensure the future of many things currently under threat. Make Beckham the figurhead( he would love it) & he could galvanise all his high profile mates to join in. Feel free to have a laugh at this thought as its not something that would ever happen in a million years. Indeed why would these firms or individuals feel they should shoulder the cost. I just think if you have more money than you could ever spend in a 100 lifetimes why not do something to help the rest of us. Folk facing god knows what still donating to keep their clubs alive, helping foodbanks, looking out for elderly neighbours & these pampered individuals getting a quarter of a million a week to spend on camouflage wrapped lamborghinis, ridiculous watches & 500 prs trainers. Sorry. Rant over.

And... all paid for from the likes of the people who need the help right now! To be fair to Ronaldo, he was the first to offer his hotel as an emergency hospital AND front the cost of all medical bills. Not sure if it was in Madeira? No matter though very good gesture. Couple of very well off x Man utd players offering their hotels for hospital staff to sleep in also, so fair play to them. Then there is the hotel chain Britannia, who chucked their staff out onto the streets with ten minutes notice. No natter what this scum company offer in discounts or offers in future anyone handing this company money should be ashamed of there selves forever.
But, you are right enough this is the time for the super rich to stand up and be counted ( we all are in our own way) and not through poxy charity concerts either that defeats the purpose.

Agree credit due to those that have acted already. Also agree with no bloody concerts or any other schemes. Just do the right thing & dip into there obscene bank balances & hand over some life changing amounts.

It is. Loads of army vehicles at Arbroath harbour today with a huge Navy ship out at sea. Marines/soldiers were being ferried from the ship into the army trucks.
