My 1st game was Burnley 2 (Kindon, Dobson) Blackpool 1 on 27th December 1971. I would have been taken by my Dad and brother. My Dad's sister lived in Sale (I think), so we would sometimes travel up North for Xmas. I've always thought that game was on Boxing Day, but I've just checked and it was the day after.

Not a bad side we put out: Mellor, Docherty, Thompson, Bellamy, Waldron, Dobbo, Thomas, West, Fletcher, Kindon, James. Sub Casper.

My first game BT was that classic 7-2 at the Turf in April 1964 against the mighty Spurs Blanchflower Greaves and all.

That was my brother's first game Outwood!
