70% alcohol req`d so moonshine

That's right. Here in Brazil liquid alcohol used to be sold for general house cleaning (there's a lot of sugar cane grown here) but it was replaced by alcohol gel because the liquid form is highly flammable. Both are basically a mix of alcohol and water and as said above, the alcohol content needs to be, ideally, 70% to kill the virus on surfaces. A higher % would kill the virus too but it will evaporate faster than 70% alcohol content and therefore, protects surfaces for a shorter time.

Vodka would work if you could get the alcohol % to 70 or higher.

We've been reliably informed that 10% bleach in water is just as effective on surfaces as alcohol but maybe not so pleasant to rub into your hands!

I use a 10-15% spray bleach on door handles etc. Cheap bleach, water, old spray bottle
