Nadhim Zahawi on Newsnight asked a simple question on ventilator production and the 10,000 Dyson are making and the date they’d be ready.

This fool thinks that bumbling along,speaking fast about irrelevant subjects that he hasn’t been asked about and spouting sound bites is acceptable.

Emily Maitlis couldn’t get a straight and coherent answer to any question.

Zahawi is my local MP and an absolute to$$er, was involved in the expenses scandal for MPs too back in the day

Drives me crazy when faced with a simple question like "when are ventilators going to be available" Ministers or whoever always start off with something like
"first of all let me pay tribute to all the wonderful NHS staff" followed be more similar waffle which I think we are already aware of and don't need to be repeatedly told. Cynical old me thinks by starting off like this because they

make the rest of what they say sound sincere

gives them time to think of what to say

which by the time they get to an answer the interviewer and listener has they hope forgotten the actual question

What then incenses me is how many lightweight interviewers let em get away with it. Grrrr!
