You missed out my next line (I notice you do this a lot to somehow prove your point)......I copy and paste

"I reiterate my earlier point, the USA will be fine ie will never approach the death rates seen in Europe.

    No deaths are good,"

oh yes, and my final point.............."When the dust has settled, someone needs to be held to account"

Is there anything here you take exception to?......specifically.

Any hope that the US will escape lightly is peeing in the wind sadly. There might be odd drops in infection rates here and there, but currently as a whole, the country is on a pretty depressing trajectory. Refrigerated lorries are being used to take bodies away as mortuaries are overwhelmed, and Drs are describing what's happening in NYC hospitals as apocalyptic.

One of the unique issues they face is their fragmented country. Different states with different rules but of course no border control within the country. Trump's latest idea of opening up areas where infection rates are low has just been destroyed on TV.
Without restrictions on travel everywhere, people will simply infect others at will.
I think CNN also stopped showing Trump's press conferences when he started to beat Hillary in the 2016 election. CNN was labelled the Clinton News Network by Trump and his followers and he refuses to answer questions from their 'journalists'. No big surprise really. They're probably editing Joe Biden's press conferences to make him sound articulate right now to fill the void.

No deaths are good, but the rates seen in Italy (136 ppm) and Spain (93 ppm) are quite frankly obscene, and the press (and some on here) has been too busy slagging off Boris, Trump or any other right-winger to truly question these figures.

When the dust has settled, someone needs to be held to account
Don't both Spain and Italy have left wing (Socialist) dominated governments? Perhaps that's why they are adversely affected (JOKE ELITE).

Somebody raised the point that both Italy and Spain could financially gain by declaring more Coronavirus deaths than actually happened. I can't remember who wrote it, but the idea was muted that the EU would pump more money into their failing hospitals if the deaths were not 'natural' but virus related.

Then again, surely not as I don't believe for one minute that any rorting in the EU goes on.

The US will be absolutely fine?

Have you noticed how many people have been laid off and are applying for benefits?

Have you noticed they have the highest infection rate in the world?

Have you noticed that their president thinks they will be back to normal by Easter?

Have you noticed the somewhat ordinaryUS healthcare systems ability to deal with a crisis like this being put under considerable scrutiny when one of the best medical systems in the world in Italy is failing due to the amount of cases?

Yeah they will absolutely fine Tarquin.

Holy moly, there's been a crock of bullcrap written on this thread by the usual EDL crowd.

The orange clown is totally culpable for the catastrophe which is unfolding in the United States.
    These are the facts.

He called the virus an hoax ffs when other countries were scrambling desperately to tackle it as their people were dropping dead.

Had closed down the National Security Directorate responsible for preparing for pandemics
    https://apnews.com/ce014d94b64e98b7203b873e56f80e9a

Greatly weakened the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and infectious disease research by slashing staff and funding

Did nothing to stop the spread of the disease in the US, leaving the country open when other nations were taking decisive action.

Consistently putting money before people's lives in his public addresses

Is trying to get Americans out for an Easter parade return to normality which would kill 10,000s more of them

And the list of crimes against the American people goes on and on.

The saps on here show they've got as little respect for human life as the Orange Reaper himself. Time for them to stand back and take a look at themselves

I spoke to my American friends yesterday, most of them don't like Trump but they say the good things that he's done hardly get a mention. You have to live there to appreciate it. Personally I think he is a dick but I live here.
The American people will decide his future, and if all the things you say are facts then surely be will get the boot.

We'll see in a couple of weeks shall we but I'd wager that they won't be fine at all. Its also far too early to be comparing death rates as they are a good few weeks behind the likes of Italy and Spain. Their current and predicted infection rate will see the death toll rise in the coming weeks.
