Couldn't disagree more. If the incumbent party actually have made a mess of things (that remains to be seen), surely we should be shouting it from the rooftops rather than "showing humility". It's not point scoring ffs, it's a case of not burying your head in the sand.

You've completely missed my point Elite. If the party makes a mess of things which as you say remains to be seen I am sure they will be held accountable at the ballot box and I am not burying my head in the sand as you put it. My point was that Sids post was entirely unnecessary as he was merely seeking to rub it in that Boris cant do what he planned due to the Corona Virus. The points are entirely seperate and you seem to be muddling them up. If ever there is a time for mass humility at every level such as that shown by Jacinda Ardern who is doing a bloody marvelous job over there in NZ this is it. Perhaps read Sids original post and why I responded in the way I did.

To me the general message is that while nobody wanted this to happen, the silver lining of a very dark cloud is that the Tories are less likely to carry out their manifesto where basically the rich get richer. I agree that is a good thing.

I don't think a political view point has any relevance to my point. Seems to me that Boris et al are trying to help everyone. We can argue about the semantics of how it is being rolled out / been rolled out at a later date and I hope your leader recovers from corona or 'the rona' as we say here in our delicate aussie tongue.

I wouldn't patronise you because from experience of reading your posts over the years I can see you are an intelligent chap and I admire your guts in relocating to the other side of the world. Like I said, I hope you come through this.

Maybe if you had seen the recent Panorama programme about Dominic Cummings and his plans for the post-election Tory programme, you would understand my relief that he could not follow through.

Look appreciate the sympathy I was a bt hot headed, but none the less thats how it came across. We live and learn. In regards to relocation I think from a Corona perspective the country is and will be in a far superior state to the mother land and I will come through it. I'm a POM after all. Not a lot to look forward to at the moment but that goes for all of us.
