Drives me up the wall litter louts.
We live in a lane and over the years I have picked up discarded drink tins, cigarette packets and sweet wrappers. (Taken to a waste bin at the top of the lane)
Following the recent ‘stay at home’ directive there has been an increase in fly tipping.
Today, during our exercise walk, we noticed 2 domestic bags of rubbish chucked into the hedgerow and, unbelievably, a pair of disposable gloves, used wipes and tissues, clearly thrown out from a vehicle onto the lane.
What on earth possesses people ?
Drives me up the wall litter louts.
Same by me along Tanwood Lane in Chaddesley Corbett.
Often skips full of rubbish discarded in lay-bys and in the woods.
A gang of lowlife in a group of four arsing around as I was out for my run today.
Morons.......no respect for anyone.
Hi Mick had ownership of a site near you Bellington Bps. A small lane lead to the boreholes past the main site. Each week this lane would be inexecesable due to dumped waste cost us thousands to clear each year. I'm sure they took the piss. Worcestershire is a beautiful county but is being blighted by this scum element in our society .Makes my p iss boil.
Twice I have been unable to approach my garage via the gully at the rear of our house because of fly-tipping. The first load I ended up taking to the tip myself. Filthy carpets, food, paint tins etc. The second time I found a letter with the to**ers address on. Sent them a threatening letter and informed the police. Ain't had a problem with 'em since. What gets me is it is harder to secretly dump the crap in our gully than it is to go to the tip because these morons live essentially the same distance from the tip as I do about a 10 minute drive.
Fly tippers and graffiti artists are the ones who give you the first indication that the area you live in is going downhill. Unfortunately, the liberal elite wouldn't allow us to dump it all back in their gardens or go into their houses and "paint" every room, but this is probably the only language these people understand..
Hi Albie, Yes its a problem in these parts. I live in Belbroughton not too far from Mick, lots of country lanes so the its ideal for these low lives to deposit their c**p. The worst part is, there's a registered tip near Romsley only a 10 minute drive away but they can't be ar*ed. A friend had some asbestos dumped over a gate leading in to a field he owns. He ended up having to foot the bill to have it safely removed by specialists despite it being fly-tipped on his land so the law doesn't even help the innocent party in these cases.
Sadly, but understandably our local tip has closed and no doubt this will have had an impact. Unfortunately, I believe that the majority of flytippers/litter droppers in our lane are not official tip users.
Throwing wipes, tissues and disposable gloves from a vehicle is surely inexcusable in all aspects. As Lindenbaggie suggests, it is an indicator of society deterioration.
