The ‘establishment’ Clubs are running away from the inevitable. Playing the remaining games although both admirable and desirable is also unrealistic as this situation progresses. To rain on their respective parades, happily ‘null and void’ (which BTW has nothing to do with ‘sporting integrity’ and everything to do with getting it right up nearest rivals) is completely and utterly off the table as has been made clear by every football administrator from FIFA downwards. Therefore that leaves and leaves alone, calling the League as it stands. And as regards the Jambos the longer they drag their heels the harder they’ll make it for themselves as the longer it’s left, then the more unrealistic reconstruction becomes in time for a new season.

We are going up. Hopefully when the vote is announced on Monday.

To show you FN right you are Peterhead had to take down all their Glasgow Rangers RIP photos that adorned their boardroom and corridors when they drew Celtic in the cup, that is up there with the biggest FACT i have ever posted on this board. The establishment and its religion is rife in the lower echelon's of Scottish football and always has been.

Why is the vote on friday but results not until monday. Does this give time for behind the scene manoeuvring

Was listening to Sportsound last night and Tom English (who is often a lone voice of reason may I add) was saying what we all already know, that is that calling the League is happening - it’s a matter of when not if. He went on to say that due to the 75% rule, Leagues one and two but also the Premiership when they vote, are all done deals. It will be voted through. It’s the Championship that may be the stumbling block and as he described it is ‘too close to call’. However, he did also say that it was a bit like the Brexit deal, i.e. like constantly going back to Parliament for a vote, so this will continue to be put back to the Clubs, basically until such time as it goes through.

So, in summary, whether it’s Monday or a bit later, the point is that the fundamental decision to call the Leagues as they stand has essentially been taken and it’s a matter of being patient until final confirmation is achieved. Importantly though, we’re getting promoted - nothing’s going to stop that now.

Edit to add to the above BTW - the Funny Lot are ALREADY selling next season’s season tickets AND next season’s new kit. Maybe their need for an immediate cash injection from an immediate league payout will trump ‘sporting integrity’. If they vote for the proposal, one would suspect that the Funster Seethe-O-Meter will be off the scale.

Here is a list of clubs who are secret sevco in disguise (not all will vote with them as they need the money or promotion):

Hamilton, Hearts, Ross County, Dundee, Ayr, Morton, Raith, Airdrie, Peterhead, Stranraer, Cove, Cowdenbeath, Stirling, Annan, Elgin City

Tom English summarises things excellently here.

    Who could lose out?

Partick Thistle and Stranraer will be relegated under the current proposal, with Hearts dropping out of the top flight if the Premiership season can’t resume. Falkirk, just a point behind Raith Rovers in the race for the League One title, would be denied a chance of promotion.

But there’s also those in the lower leagues currently in the play-off positions. Given eight of the 10 Championship clubs need to back the proposal, there is very little margin for error, particularly because Partick Thistle will vote against. Ayr United say they will vote in favour, but what about Inverness CT and Dundee?

Voting for an early finish would effectively end Dundee’s hopes of promotion, and also result in city rivals Dundee United going up.
