Doesn't anyone else find this statement from Rick Parry to be somewhat ironic considering he used to be in charge of the Premier League?
He didn't complain about parachute payments then.
    Not sure Mellow.

He was involved in setting up the Premier League, but I don't think parachute payments were originally in place. I may be wrong though.

I know parachute payments were introduced in 2006/7 so presumably as CEO, Rick Parry was happy for the arrangement to go ahead.
If that's correct, I wonder what's changed his mind?

Probably because he is paid to get the best deal for his employer and clubs under his remit.
That’s why he is where he is.

Interesting read and some good points. If it's really from an actual player then I don't think he'll ever get a job in politics or public relations. Nor in maths as 25Kx1000 is 25M not 2.5M

He also says there might be 1000 non playing staff at prem clubs. Seems a lot and I'd say it would be nearer a third or a quarter of that figure
In one response he says youse instead of you plus he swears a lot so he obviously Scottish.

Thought provoking though and shares the thoughts many of us have

    Interesting read.
If I had to guess I'd say Robert Snodgrass.
