Thread: Hancock's Half Hour...

  1. #11
It will take a while will this one sinkov. Labour adjusted the figures downwards, the Tories have adjusted them upwards. Who knows, but I will do my best to find out.

Stupid foooooking idea in the first place.

Dominic Raab is either totally unaware he is the de facto Prime Minister or he thinks Boris can run the United Kingdom from the ICU?

Hancock's Half Hour comedy slot has gone AWOL.

Can someone PLEASE tell me who is actually running this sh-itfest?

We put our trust in a Prime Minister who refused to obey the instructions laid down by his own Chief Medical Officer. He refused to accept the worth of social distancing and is now paying the consequences.

He along with our hapless Home Secretary, allowed unlimited flights to land in Heathrow and every other major UK airport that had originated from China, despite Wuhan being in quarantined lockdown since before Christmas. Flights from every “COVID-19” hotspot across the globe have been arriving in a steady flow with no mandatory quarantine for arriving passengers.

It is now April 7th , a full five months since this global pandemic began; yet still the general public have no testing kits and our doctors and nurses fighting at the very frontline across the hospitals throughout the United Kingdom, are being denied Personal Protection Equipment.
Karma has a nasty habit of biting you in the arse. Perhaps our Cabinet can now get serious about doing the job they were elected to do, end austerity and provide resources for the vulnerable members of our society and fully support the NHS?

With Dominic Raab, a Foreign Secretary who is reminiscent of a rabbit caught in the headlights of a ten tonnes truck now running this **** fest, I would suggest that is extremely unlikely.

BT --I really don't understand your concern for all these things to happen and your criticism that they have not done so.
Previously, you were playing hell because you claimed it was all a scam and totally unnecessary to do the things which were being introduced, including social distancing.

None of us know exactly what is going on and we probably never will, however, when my son, a senior paramedic in London and my daughter-in-law, a GP in Sheffield see it necessary to lay the law down to me on what I should and shouldn't do, and this was almost 3 weeks ago, I am inclined to take notice because they have never, ever felt the need to do so in the past.
These are strange times, however, as usual, my mantra is que sera, sera and there is no point worrying about what may or may not be.
    Stay safe.

I had another look at this show yesterday, and for the first time felt some real sympathy for the politicians and 'experts' having to tolerate and reply politely to questioning from a bunch of imbeciles trying to trip them up and catch them out, just to provide another talking point for whichever media outlet employs them. Irrelevant questions, questions continually repeated, questions which had already been answered, on and on they drone, each with their own sad agenda, the self-regarding Peston being the biggest clown of them all. I'd bar the lot of them and replace these 'political correspondents' with health correspondents, then some sanity might return to proceedings and we might actually get to know something useful.

What have we done to deserve a media like this, 90% of them political activists masquerading as journalists, they're a disgrace to their profession, and letting the country down, what serious journalists like David Frost, Richard Dimbleby and Brian Walden, looking down from on high, must think of this shower of sh1te embarrassing themselves on a daily basis, I can only imagine.

Here's the Guardian piece on this Labour omnishambles to help you BT. If we're going to talk about NHS funding, all discussion should start here methinks. The financial carnage inflicted on the NHS by Labour makes anything under the Tories trivial in comparison. But I'm intrigued, I suspect the Guardian would underplay the amount if they could, and yet even they are saying £55 billion a year. That is some millstone to hang around the NHS neck, and yet the Tory's are to blame for underfunding ? Really ?

Anyway, do you accept the Guardian's figure of £55 billion a year or not, if not what figure would you put on it ?

Totally agree sinkov. They all have their own agenda and very few listen to the answers being given as has been seen on several news broadcasts in recent times. The whole thing is media driven and doing nothing to help the situation.

Blair and Brown are a total anathema to me sinkov. I disagreed with almost everything they did. They are not socialists and really do not come from own political persuasion.

Now the Labour party have saddled themselves with Blair Mark Two, me and the Child Bride have decided enough is enough. No more politics!

I live in a world based on evidence Supersub6. Three weeks ago I could see no evidence to warrant locking the UK down.

The evidence I can see and read justifies people STAY HOME and hunker down and that is exactly what I am doing. Me and the Child Bride are having a whale of a time!

More nonsense on the Muppet Show again this afternoon, what have we done to deserve these cretins asking questions on our behalf ?

"Media a month ago: “WE NEED LOCKDOWN! WHY ISN’T THERE A LOCKDOWN? GOVERNMENT IS SENDING US ALL TO DIE!”

Media now: “WHEN CAN WE COME OUT OF LOCKDOWN? WE NEED TO COME OUT OF LOCKDOWN! WE CAN’T CARRY ON LIKE THIS!”
