    Hancock's Half Hour...

A new thread just to reveal Hancock's latest missives.

Today: "No sunbathing in public" and …

"If we don't all start behaving, no more exercising outdoors!"

Even Tony Hancock wasn't this funny.

It's the media muppets asking the questions that really piss me off.

We're told not go out, we can't walk the dog on deserted moorland, this morning I saw a photo of a man sat harmlessly alone on a deserted Brighton beach being told to move along please. Then I put SkyNews on at lunchtime and there's a SkyNews reporter and crew stood outside Windsor Castle, telling us that Brenda would be talking to the nation tonight. What were they doing out there, was it necessary for them to be outside in Windsor to tell us something they could just as well from a studio ? Why were the police not moving them on, is there one law for the media and a different one for us ? So I switched reluctantly to the BBC News, and feck me it was even worse, they have a reporter and crew loitering in a deserted park somewhere in London, telling us basically that no one should be loitering in deserted parks. Why ? What are they doing there, shouldn't they be setting an example, instead of allowing their crews to roam all over the country on pointless errands ? That was enough, off it went, I'm convinced the best way to stay sane in the midst of this crisis is not to watch TV news for more than five minutes a day, and chill by reading BT's regular comedy slots on here instead.

sinkov ---the media are always sending people to do 'on the spot' reporting when there really is no need ---as you correctly state.
I have walked another 7 miles this morning and the only people I saw were about 70 yards away queuing and waiting for the supermarket to open. However, more reports are coming in about people congregating in areas and the next step will be to tell me that I can't go out to exercise, even though I have walked over 25 miles this week and not been closer than 70 yards to anyone.
At least it keeps me away from the news etc.

I went up Scout Road in Bolton this morning. It's an area right on the edge of the West Pennines. Fooook me it was like let's all "Fooook Hancock" right off. I had no idea we had so many dog walkers, joggers and cyclists in Bolton!

The Child Bride went shopping for her dad at, the local ASDA this morning, she reported it was running along nicely, shelves all stocked, queues moderate. Crisis what crisis?

How ridiculous is this? Hancock needs to give his head a wobble and get some PPE whizzed into our care homes for the few we have left and coffins for the ones he has failed...

It seems fairly representative of an episode of Hancock’s Half Hour for our woefully inept health secretary, Matt Hancock, to publicly shame footballers when our NHS frontline medical staff are fatally short of PPE equipment.

We are also short of 43000 nurses thanks to the last decade’s Tory slash and burn austerity paradigm.

We have just woken up to the fact the Tories sold off 80% of the state-owned blood plasma bank and we are now paying exorbitant prices from the same people we hived it off to.

Talking about a comedy? Only 7000 of our “frontline” NHS workers have been tested for the coronavirus out of workforce of 550,000.
Never mind that though, Hancock got himself tested, his boss is in hospital for “tests” and Bonnie Prince Charlie was also tested and then hotfooted in retreat from the pandemic to his Scottish castle at Birkhill.

Every credible source suggests our NHS doctors and nurses have no reliable and bountiful access to PPE. What’s our resident comedian do? Blame it on the EPL salary structure no less.

Tony Hancock would have enough material to run a year’s shows on this debacle.

I'd love to comment BT, but I can't, I missed the show, it's a futile exercise and I've better things to do with my time, I also missed Brenda, god bless her, but I'm not really interested in what she's got to say either.

On the NHS and funding, you seem to be an expert in this field, could you give me an estimate of how many billions Labour's PFIs have cost the NHS so far, and how much they're still costing ? The Guardian was saying last September they reckoned it was £55 billion a year and counting. I don't trust Lefty propaganda sheets with facts, perhaps you could confirm this for me ?

Was it the same Mr Hancock who cheered in the House of Commons sinkov, when the Tory MP's voted down a proposed pay increase for our NHS nurses?

No idea BT, how you doing with my question in Post 7. The Guardian says Labour's PFIs costs the NHS £55 billion a year, I don't trust them, I suspect it could be more. What do you think ?
