    Quiz: Guess a lineup

    No Googling ladies and gentlemen

You have to guess the names of the five empty positions in the following team.

This NUFC team played at home against Barnsley in March 2009 as part of the Championship campaign. We beat them 6-1.

    GK Harper

RB Simpson CB --- CB Coloccini LB José Enrique

RW --- CM Nolan CM --- LW Jonás

    ST Carroll ST ---

    Substitutions
    Ryan Taylor on for Nolan
    Leon Best on for Carroll
    --- on for José Enrique

So; you have to guess one defender, two midfielders, one striker and one substitute.

    Good luck!

All very qualified guesses. Let's hear what some of the others say before I reveal the line up!

Great idea for a thread, Hughie!

I'm going for Williamson as the CB

Going to go for Guthrie on the wing and Barton alongside Nolan

Stuck on the other two atm

Is he the one who was fast as fuck but useless ...but didn't he score one thunderbolt from the middle of the box with no backlift at all?

Løvenkrands and Pancrate are both correct.

Guthrie is correct too, though he was in central midfield on that day next to Nolan.

    Well done so far!

The sub is pretty hard to guess I would imagine. It's a defender who was a youth talent here for many years, but never really made the cut.

The missing central defender should be guessable I would say
