    Not for rA ;) - doom-ish scenario

Reading posts in various places, I am seeing....

    1. People going off football because of the furloughing of non playing staff
    2. People going off football due to the players wages issues
    3. People going off football because this CV-19 crisis has shown them how unimportant football is

Is this a temporary snapshot or does it signify a general turning against the game that will see gates drop everywhere forcing wages to drop?

Will we stay with the current 2m SD society bringing capacities down, decreasing club income and thus also wages?

I think we've all changed our views about life in general. Things and people we took for granted, we now value more.

For a while, I think we'll change the ways we live, but over a period of time, things will return to 'normal'.

It isn't just Rooney though Adi.
Most of them are the same.
In my teams squad, I only see the likes of Joe Lolley making serious attempts to help people.
Footballers are the working mans hero's. Yet they have become a target for bitterness with their selfish greed.
If they aren't whinging about having a pay cut, they are out flaunting the rules aimed at the rest of us.

So yes, my views have changed. I think I'll be spending a lot more time watching my lad at non league

Agreed, or greed. If its the start of the crumbling of the obscene wage levels paid then maybe corona will have a few positives to leave as its legacy
