As for facemasks in club colours... there is a flaw in your great idea. Most masks I've seen are already in our shirt colour. Somed in Manchester City. I'm not sure too many English teams play in green
All good suggestions, but no. Think of an industry where not only are the majority of the client group disappearing, but the whole concept suddenly seems horribly flawed.

Okay...a little more detail...so red and white striped ones for Stokies, blue and white hoops for QPR fans and badges on for those with solid plain shirts. Mel could sell 15,000 Ram based black and white masks within days.
Let’s face it...the great irony is...we’re all going to be ‘letterboxes’ soon.

I'm not against people making a profit. It's just that those actually creating that profit should have more of it than they do. Profits and dividends and bonuses for the top few % are what it's about rather than any kind of reasonableness.

I'd feel differently about this IF those huge multinationals paid their full whack of taxes but they don't. Profits don't have to keep on rising each year. As long as it's a good profit that should be OK, even if it is a bit lower than last year. There ups and downs. The downs are, IMO, reacted to far too jerkily and the whole "market" goes into some kind of blind panic........

2016, Apple made, they said £17.6M profit on a turnover in excess of £1Bn. That's <1.76% profit margin...... maybe one of resident experts can tell us if that's a good % profit. As a layman on these things I'd think it a poor return.
If that's aimed at me, I suggest you reread my post a little more slowly. If it's not I await rebuttal from elsewhere.

When you read my post properly you will understand my perspective on tax. As regards the banks that was largely mishandled at the time, and we should not make those mistakes again. But there is no valid comparison between the situations (no fault on covid) yet you seek to impose penalties.

rA, now you can see why my initial comment was "no comment"

As for letterboxes, surely the BAME fatality rates should be lower due to greater use of religious PPE?

Good point...could go some way to explaining the male/female differential.

    No I can’t. I’m with MA, idealistically...but economics isn’t my forte.

Not entirely. One more guess and you get another clue. I’m disappointed frankly.
