Because, IF he can stay fit he’s still possibly the best left back at the club and, as a sub or in a crisis, he provides cover for the left side of central defence and the left side of midfield.
Many would have quit given his knee problems. You have to admire his strength and determination, two qualities which I think he shows on the pitch.

Coldplay signed an extension for the rest of this campaign. No further news yet on Hudds and his 1 or 2 year contracts. Both been offered a year deal with a 1 year option (open to the club only) but turned it down, wanting 2 years with year 2 being a player/coach role.

I totally agree with you RA, which makes a nice change, Fozzy still has quite a bit to offer. As you say he is flexible and can play in a number of positions, one important strength is that he offers an outlet for the keeper on the half way line, where he usually wins heaters from our keeper's clearances.

From a fitness point of view, when we need 5 subs because players can't cope, who was flying forward in the 90th minute to set up Sibley's hatrick goal, with just 1 touch?

I expect his appearances to reduce, but he will be a good steady back up and mentor for Lowe.

This might spell the end for Moses Malone though

RA he's our only left back because Malone and Lowe are bigger liabilities than our goalkeepers Just watch Malone he goes AWOL all the time He's never in position Lowe just can't stop crosses ,he just swings a leg and invariably misses . No wonder Lampard got Cole out of retirement Suppose we could put Shinnie there at push ,he's played there for Scotland

Ram can't see Lowe ever making it he's a very poor fullback imo
