    Laws

I didn't know this one existed so...... in the game tonight Spurs player is fouled & when falling, the ball accidentally brushes his arm.Kane goes on to score.Goal chalked off for handball. What a nonsense..... absolutely ridiculous & Spurs not even given a free kick. The games an ass.

It's a stupid law, that is what Moyes was complaining about last week, the ball hit an opposition player on the arm and Moyes wanted a penalty but VAR didn't give it.Moyes himself doesn't agree with the law but insists it should have been given.

I didn.t see it but it still appears that the ref was wrong.

The correct ruling is that if the arm strikes the ball it is a foul but if the ball strikes the arm it is not a foul.

No ,apparently the officials acted in accordance with the law. Just another of these ridiculous laws (like VAR offside when the toenail protrudes) that is ruining the excitement of the game.

I saw that and agree that it is stupid and unfair as it was completely accidental. The new rule now though is that if the attacking side make any contact at all with their arm on the ball then it’s a free kick.
If a defender had done exactly the same thing in his own box, there’s no way a penalty would’ve been given.
This is a rule that needs sorting but they just keep making it worse.

That rule was changed this season,if the ball strikes the arm of a defender accidently in the penalty area it is a penalty. If the ball accidently hits an attackers arm and the ball goes in its no goal.Silly rule that needs reviewing.

Quite simply, the attacking team ie.Spurs, did everything right & the defending team Sheffield did everything wrong & it was the former that was penalised!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous & nonsensical state of affairs .
