    Academy

Can't remember if this has been posted, but all the academy staff got their P45s last week, no letter of explanation or thanks. They didn't have the guts to tell them they were sacked. Could have kept them furloughed but chose not to. Only Bobby Hassel and Martin Devaney left, so looks like it is being wound up.
Got this from someone in the know.
    Doesn't look good

Does that include the Academy Chief Operations Officer Melissa Murphy of D&M Football Consultants ?

Adda thought thed need the Academy even more with the proposals to require eight home grown players in squads.

The club were scraping rarnd for donations to the Academy on the OWS today.

Huddersfield Town did the same thing a few years backI think,. Recategorising, or downgrading It’s academy. Think they have a senior development squad, and a few lower age kids teams.

Looking at this pragmatically and I do feel extremely sorry for those who have lost their jobs and wish them well gaining employment in the future .

The academy is a bit of a white elephant to be fair , very expensive to operate and in all honesty produces very little .

This isn't a pop at the club by any means , the games changed at this level .
