Sadly this shows the extent that the EPL and other leagues will stoop to ensure cash through the gate etc. They will cow down to the mode of the day and suck from the dregs of any barrel to keep the cashflow. NO league body should be in any way promoting ANY political stance. Next we will see the SFA and SPFL openly supporting the aims of the Irish independence/unity movements, making the hun wear FTP slogans and the green ones IRA belly tops. They simply should not be involved at any level and are actually bringing their own actions into disrepute.
When the pressure gets ramped a little more the remembrance days for fallen soldiers of all countries will cease, statues of some white dude at tannadice can be ripped down. Pitch marking will be made in rainbow coloured (sorry shaded tones - can't say coloured) candy stripes.
What about ALM Asian lives matter
ALM for the aborigines
FEALM for the far eastern asians
It all becoming a great amount of Bullu x supported by liberals who have brought this down on themselves and walk away when it gets hot.
The point about black lives matters is that black people still are dying younger due to discrimination. It doesn't invalidate other injustices, it simply reminds us all that racism affects this group more than others
Its not enough to be passive in the face of the evidence presented by the experience of black people in Scotland, we are all impelled to be anti racist.
The first line doesn't even make sense given there is no one paying cash through the gate during this period where BLM (the message not the organisation) is being marked. Its not promoting a political stance, unless you think standing up to racism is political. Its promoting equality. The next bit is hysteria, followed by another paragraph of hysteria, then a ridiculous strawman. And then finally blame the liberals. Bingo.
When I posted it I was pointing out the hypocrisy of OF going on about kneeling - FFS dinna call it genuflecting- but hearing nothing about sectarianism.
I agree that a stand against all forms of discrimination is required. A one off kneeling by the players at start of season to show solidarity should be agreed. It shouldn’t be an every game thing.
We will have the surrealism of commentators talking about anti-racist message whilst hearing get intae that dirty fenian/orange b@st@rd shouts in the background.
The main problems with racism in the UK is the lack of opportunity and representation of coloured people in certain roles. Also the stop and search used mainly down south and not in Scotland. Surely we can address these issues without forcing footballers to kneel which in itself divides people. For what I can see the actions of BLM are actually causing more divide than addressing the problems.
The issues we have in the UK are far different imo than the issues in the USA, so we should question why is there not more black coaches, managers, board members rather than argue about kneeling in solidarity. I guarantee many epl will have did so but did not want to.
The F1 drivers are imo an example of how you can do it.
