Thread: This insanity is endless...

Anyway, my question is that, with the increase in lockdown up in these parts and telling you to wear these masks etc from dusk until dawn ---who will I come into contact with to get the 'flu. I then realised that the ploy is to get you to go to the doctors to have your jab so that you come into contact with others who may just pass on the 'flu to you. Crafty buggers ---just because they have a huge surplus of 'flu vaccine to get rid of.
Did you know GP surgeries have an actual target of 'flu jabs to dispense, otherwise they get fined? Might explain their sudden interest in your well being Supersub6.

BT, they send for me every year and I politely decline. The missus goes and then gets a few symptoms, even though she usually only suffers me and her health is generally good. I have never had a 'flu jab and I have not had a common cold for over 40 years so I shall just wait and take my chances.

Yes, they have to meet their quotas, just like when I refused to take statins many years ago after one of my regular blood tests. The next time I had a test I was summoned to the GP and told that I was Type 2 Diabetic, even though they never told me the results of the blood test. Having been Glucose Intolerant for 20 years, they just decided on my condition and prescribed tablets.
I never took one tablet, never changed anything about my life, attended the foot checks, eye checks and anything else they wanted to spend money on. After one year I was told that I wasn't even on the scale for Type 2 and that the tablets must be working! I told them that those tablets had gone down the loo when I got them ---all fell on deaf ears.
They gave me all the checks for three and a half years and a new nurse came to the practice and when I saw her she asked me why I was attending these diabetic checks because i had never been on the scale when my blood was tested. I had not been diabetic at all, however, my daugher-in-law who is a GP in Sheffield, told me that they had all been on a drive to find Type 2 and that, because I had been glucose intolerant for so long and refused statins, another government incentive scheme, they would have told me that I was diabetic.
You know my distrust of politicians, however, things like this make sure that you trust nobody! Sorry to bore you all.

I've just read some calculations showing the result of following Glum and Glummer's 50,000 cases logic into the future. It seems by Christmas Day there will be 11 million dead, and by New Years Eve the entire population will be dead. So you can save some money and cancel your New Year's Eve celebration party, you won't be holding it.

Yes I just watched uk Column going though these very stats. Amazing what you can do with Stats and a population that does not understand maths. On its goes and no solution to be found.

Have you read about Hancock on Talk Radio last Friday Dave ? He seemed to think that a 1% False Positive rate meant that just 1% of positive tests were false, he seemed blissfully unaware that the FPR applies to all the tested and a 1% FPR means that 1% of the total tested will show up as positive when they're actually negative. An entirely different thing altogether, it's scary to think that this clueless halfwit is actually running the show.

    From The Independent,

"The world’s fastest supercomputer has found that face shields are almost completely ineffective at containing Covid-19. The Japanese machine, which can perform more than 415 quadrillion computations a second, discovered that visors fail to prevent almost 100% of droplets of less than five micrometres in size from escaping."

Well, well, well, I did say a couple of months ago that I kept well away from anyone wearing a muzzle, they're bloody dangerous. Why people think it's a good thing to walk around with a portable virus carrier dangling from the end of their nose, apart from virtue-signalling of course, I have no idea.

Eat well. Live well. Exercise outside daily for at least 40 minutes. Cut down on the booze. Avoid the eejits. Social distance. Phuck the visors and masks. You will live through Christmas. I promise.

I thought this insanity could not get any worse. Then along comes Gove to put the cherry on the top of the already iced cake.

Gove has just announced all lorry drivers will need a permit to enter Kent from 1st January.

    Insanity has just become absurd.
