For a club that can have probably about a few hundred employees including contractors, which also includes staff that work with children and health and safety, it's actually an important role that needs to be done correctly as they will deal with safeguarding and such, especially after the incident that happen under Hardy with the tuck shop person

The football club is a business first and foremost. If you don't have the correct HR policies and people in place, it'll cost you more in the long run through court cases and such.
