    Just read the news that another of or '68 team John Talbut has passed away. Another no - nonsense defender. in a no- nonsense team that did us proud that year RIP John

    He had a surname that most would spell wrong. By my reckoning he is the 6th player to die from the team of 12 from the 1968 FA Cup winning side., I could be wrong. Always a sad loss when one of those great cup heroes passes.

    R.I.P John T. Significant that yet again another great header of the ball from the ‘leather caser’ era has succumbed to dementia. I remember his pairing with Yorkie Kaye way back in the sixties when I first visited the shrine, a great cup tie era for us. Old time heroes starting to go in numbers now.....it’s a sad day!
