Neil was sat in the kitchen staring a hole in his laptop and looking glum.
Carrie, his long suffering wife (Carry ma Can) bounced in and seeing Neil looking sad, enquired "whit's up misery guts?"
"Cannie get a job Carrie. Still waiting to hear from Kilmarnock but just noticed they've got a manager"
"That's a shame pet, have you no tried Dens again, that manager's a pure dummy"
Neil thought about this for a moment and brightened up
"That's genius Carrie, I'll get my CV off to John straight away, even if I could take pre season training it would be great"
"How many jobs have you applied for Neil?"
Neil checked his laptop
"3749"
"Definitely try Dens again Neil"
"Carrie, I set them back aboot ten years"
"Dinnae worry Neil that Nelms is a bam too, he'll have forgotten by now"
Neil smiled for the first time in weeks
"I'm on it Carrie"
