    What's going wrong at Motherwell?

There's no especially dazzling insights here but a few of the stats show just how eye-wateringly bad we've been this year.

We basically couldn't hit a barn door. We have plenty forward players to choose from but no real strikers that can score goals. There have been a couple of instances this season where big Jordan White could have threw himself at the ball in the box but never really made an attempt to get on the end of it. I'm not singling out just him, just an example of how we need that striker with the killer instinct.

IMO White our best option and requires our wide players to cross ball into box. Neither Hylton or Seedorf appear capable this skill.
Not a fan of Long but prefer him play out wide rather Hylton/Seedorf .. both whom I'd release ASAP.
Watt a mystery as get very little efforts on goal and think lacks confidence that in our current form can only worsen.
Robinson unable to decide his favoured front line and time is running out. .. his choice of forwards been woeful.

Club was just being reported as claiming they’ve taken in 7million in recent years in transfers for players who’ve left.
On the flip side the quality of most signings in the current squad is missing. Quite a few were noted to be of no value before they’d kicked a ball in a game for us — and they still get game time!

Asset management would call for improvement to avoid serious risk of relegation.

We look totally void of ideas of how to beat a team that sits in against us and hits on the break. In our league it is just about imperative to score the first goal. Every other team in the league has a forward we would gladly have, but none of our current forwards would get a game with the other teams. We have to get back to the real basics of the game. Learn to mark opposition players and play as units in defence, midfield and forwards. We also need players who are prepared to put themselves on the line and fight for every ball and not give the opposition a moments peace by getting right in their faces from the first whistle to the last

The article sums up everything of the last 9 months apart from showing us bottom of the form league. Lot's of huff n puff, no real direct penetration and no punch up front.
Easy to highlight ... but appears not so easy for our Mgr and team to rectify?! Our game against the Tractor Boys so early in the season is IMO a 'must win'; who would've thought?
