Thread: Trouble ahead

    Trouble ahead

First post on this site and sorry it's a pretty negative one but....I fear we are in for a total pasting v The THEM in 2 weeks. I do not get all this hype about our young right back, Neilson. I realise he is just a boy but he is very rigid and if we play him v THEM he will be exposed rotten. Ryan Kent etc will have a field day down our l/h side and they will not settle for just beating us by one or two. Their fans will demand they screw us into the ground, I hope I am wrong but more than any other game this is the one I have been dreading. Like it or not we are a championship squad and our lack of a forward (without L.S in the team), who can actually score a goal is pretty scary. For us to have 65% of the ball on Sat v an up til then poor Killie and create zilch takes some doing. Like I said it is a negative post but also a realistic one?

To be fair you could have said exactly the same about the Celtic game and look what happened there. We could have even sneaked a goal and got a draw. I would also say that Celtic have a far superior squad to Sevco. I hope there are no zombies reading your scaredy cat post.

Yes it will be tough and like every team in the spl outside the ugly sisters we will get the odd heavy defeat from them. That’s life. We move on.

More concerned on our realistic and important targets for the first year back.

Avoid relegation and work towards being a top 6 team consistently in the future.

It won’t all happen at once and we have to build success back in this division bit by bit over a number of years.

The Ogrens have a plan and the end point is achievable where we are back in Europe year in year out and established force in Scottish football again. It won’t happen overnight

I expect Stevie to use some of the colts for this game and they should do the job comfortably. 4-1 with the consolation goal from Clark.

On current form, Teddy Bear’s getting all excited at the tantalising prospect of his Club’s first ever victory over the World Famous Dundee United.

C'mon - they're no' Bayern Munich. It's just Sevco FFS.

It's 11 vs 11. Who cares what they would like to do to us?

Shanks will prob be back by then. And even if he is not, we can still get stuck right into them.

    We are Dundee United!

    Hi OP,
The squad as it stands have youngsters who are still finding their feet and will be inconsistent, Celtic and Killie games were ideal proof.
Trust me when I say that when our championship squad gets a few additions and our Lawrence back, others including THEM will be dreading playing us
No doom and gloom here please
