You sound quite regretful about the fact you haven’t been furloughed. I’m sure the vast, vast majority of those people affected would prefer to be working and getting 100% of their wages.

One thing is for sure, mortgage providers and landlords won’t be accepting 66% of their money.

    I give up.
Unbelievable, I hope you reported them to the thought police.

No, I'm quite annoyed I'm going to pay for everyone else having 6 months off work. If Burnham wants more money, perhaps he should suggest those getting it have to pay a higher tax after to pay for it rather than those working to end this pandemic paying for it via both exhaustion and taxes

Face Mask, wash hands and space - seems simple enough.

Its always easy to blame "the Government" which seems to be spending itself silly, so just a point for consideration, is the problem that a sizable minority are not exercising personal responsibility and actually following the rules?

Anyway. enough of politics, time to buy a football pass for this evenings game!
It should be simple - but the example I gave at the beginning is an example of how it isn't simple at all. Seems that they are making it up as they go along.

    Liverpool - Tier 3, gyms can't open.

Lancashire - Tier 3, gyms can open, local officials have done a good 'deal'

Manchester - should be Tier 3 but Mayor won't agree a deal. Meanwhi!e, rates increasing.

Raise taxes for mainly lower paid people to pay for the incompetence of much better paid people?

Original thinking, I’ll give you that.

I'd imagine that 99.9% of people who aren't socialists, will be gutted to have been furloughed.
