    Guo Guangchang

The Wolves owner who is 53,has risen to 33rd in the Rich list for sports owners. According to Forbes his net worth has risen considerably during 2020 to £6.8 Billion.

The pharmaceutical arm of Fosun is linked with the American Company Pfizer and the German company BioNTech to develop a MRNA vaccine.

It puts him fifth in Britain, behind the owners of Man city, Chelsea, Arsenal and Aston Villa.

The richest sports owner of the lot is the owner of the cricket team Mumbai Indians, Mukesh Ambani with a staggering net worth of £71.5 billion.

I bet he never did a paper round when he was growing up!

    "Money can't buy me love"

I suppose in the long term, possibly, it is good for the club but the problem is regardless of the money we may or may not have to spend the pool of outstanding available players is small. All the talent has been snapped up and if it isn't playing for the "big" teams it's sitting on the bench.

Of course investment in the "youth" system is always an option but the pay backs are too long in coming and generally big business, which is what we are part of let's face it, doesn't tolerate anything other than a prompt return on investment.

Personally after all the political horse crap that has been injected into the game, the show business image, all the diving and overreaction to everything, the attempts to have thick overpaid barely literate players rammed down out throats as social warriors of one sort or another I've just about had it with the pro game. This season may do it.
