Thread: Hirst is staying so ......

There's a certain statistical factor in this.

Rotherham when playing well still on average occupy the opponents half (at best) 60% of the time, the last third will be even less than that.

So Hirst with his reduced appearances gets much less "contact time" with the ball.

Keep him on the pitch for longer, his contact time will be longer and his chances of scoring will be better.

Grist, that's far too easy to follow, thing is do you think our management team will understand that?

Got to start him from kickoff now or why did we bring him in?

Here's a thought, maybe Hirst gives Warne less earache than Smith or Vas when left out of the starting lineup ?

    Nice guys don't like confrontation

Ah but Grist, if he goes banging on Warne’s door and gives him attitude for not playing, Warne might tell Leicester he’s got an attitude and may demand to ship him back.

Another thought is that PW and the coaching staff observe him all week in training and make a decision on how much game time he's given based upon that.

Most of us don't see what they see

That sounds a reasonable suggestion. But unlikely to gain much support on here.

That's too obvious, it's better to invent conspiracy theories that make Warne look weak and incompetent.

True, but even they don't know how he would perform if given a full game.
