The facts are simple. Derek has a contract until May 2022. Thereafter automatically onto a rolling 12 month contract. So come the summer, whenever we get rid, its going to cost the club £800K to get rid of him, and half that again for all his backroom team. Its all about cost saving meantime, that's why he is still there, to save 4/5 months of a pay off.

The stay of execution issued this week is purely a PR exercise to try and muster some support and pull everyone together. The only way he goes before the summer if it becomes apparent that the wheels have come off completely, and European spots are fading away.

Derek is a master of excuses with the board, this weeks excuse already issued with Hornby having a bug, and Kamberi still not having a work permit, and having the best part of a stone to shift. His control of certain board members is causing serious issues in the dressing room and in the building.
Cheers for the info yet again MSM,There's no chance of him quitting when he has a contract like that,Cormack will have to find the cash to pay him off.
Another expensive f@ck from Stewarty Milne

McInnes must've tried and failed to get Greg Stewart for a third stint, and gone for the something similar. A fatty who he'll barely ever play.

Welcome back to the good ship Mad MSM - you’ve been missed.

The above just confirms a lot of what we thought sadly. No prizes for guessing the main board member DM will have control of anyway.

Seriously, that contract on that salary is fuucking mental for a club like us.

When (not if) we have to punt him, Milne should be made to pay that off himself from his own funds since it’s his fuuckin fault we’re lumbered with such an utterly ridiculous contract.

Absolute insanity - but entirely true to form for the wigless gype.

As soon as DM is gone, the next thing Cormack should do is immediately punt that clueless @rsehole straight off the board with a clear instruction to never darken our door again.

Only then we might be able to start finally putting that charlatans legacy behind us.

Honestly, what an unmitigated disaster he’s been for our club.

What does Cormack think of Milne MSM? I’d be surprised if he has much time for the boy...

It's the kind of contract where you would probably quite like to get sacked. He's probably fed up of the club now anyway and looking forward to getting punted and picking up his £800K handshake. He'll get another job easy enough and soon enough because of the way the merrygoround works in Scottish football. Getting punted is no problem to him, he probably can't wait. Utterly ridiculous contract.

The length of the contract, the fact he got it, and the reported wages were more than enough to piss off most of us. But that added rolling part! Jesus phukin Christ!

What Moog says. That cvnt Milne should be paying for this.
