No, they marry to promote/secure/strengthen their rule....look at Diana, historically, she had more "royal" (regal/rule) blood than Charles - direct from her ancestors philandering with English kings, Charles II, James II (Cameron/Johnsom George II)...connecting her to Winston {Spencer} Churchill, Douglas Home, Quincy Adams, Roosevelt, Bertrand Russell...and Humprey Bogart etc - See how it works - even the Bush mob are Saxe Coburg Gotha....one big interconnected family - placement - into anything that has the ability to influence - Politics, Science, Film etc - just like a Virus, they'll infect it, to control it - and the only thing that matters, keeping folk tranquillized...Interested !

Me neither blueheeler1, they ought to be very happy living their dream in Southern California. I hope they will now just flick the "media switch" into the off position and get on with raising their family.

The Firm are now shown again to be an out of date anachronism and we need to retire it off quietly into the sunset and become a Republic.

Getting this lot off the wage bill would come in handy too...

Unfortunately the President of the New Republic Of Britain would not be "'Arry down pub" but a very rich person able to stand and pay all the publicity needed for election.

So, it sort of defeats the whole process wouldn't you say?

It it be great to have a Trump of our very own!

    Can't wait.

We would have the chance to become more socially robust without the need to tip our hats and curtsey to the Royal Family. This deference to a few members of the Anglo/Germanic aristocracy is pathetic.

I'm not advocating a bloody revolution just a nice gentle, long trip into retirement, and a bit of levelling up as The Firm's trappings and ridiculous wealth start to be squeezed back into public ownership.

We can also get shut of the House of Lords while we are at it.

Do we really need this nonsense..?

Forgive my schoolboy German, but given our Royal Family spent the best parts of 18th and 19th century copulating with their cousins and the end result is Prince Andrew, I was reminded of an old saying, "Unter jedem Dach wohnt ein Ach".

I think our lot have more than one though!

At least Harry and Megan were allowed to leave and they did not have to try and escape like this poor git.
