Darren Moore leaves Doncaster Rovers, to become Sheffield Wednesday manager

Darren Moore has left Doncaster Rovers, to become manager of Sheffield Wednesday.
Rovers fans won't be happy, with Moore getting the team in the promotion race in division 1, but the club same has Rotherham have lost games in February.
So Moore will get the Owls in the right state of mind for our derby game on Wednesday.

I thought Moore was settled at the Keepmoat stadium.

Gobsmacked at this news! Why would he want to leave a team on the brink of getting to the Championship to join a team striving to stay in it?

Then again, Donny may well fail and not go up, Weds get relegated and of the first time of asking, he gets Weds back into the Championship, overnight god like status to the Weds fans.

Coppinger asked to step in as Player/Manager to the end of the season? If anyone deserves the Donny job he's a very good candidate for his loyalty alone to the club.

Wouldn't go has far to say Donny are on the brink of promotion, they have an outside chance same with a few more teams. Think in long run it could turnout to be a better move.

Perhaps Moore thinks he can become a Wednesday legend.

By surviving more than 10 games

He's got nothing to lose. If he keeps them up, he's a legend. If not, they regroup for next season with Moore in situ.

I think for us, this is terrible timing. New manager bounce and all that for Wednesday. It's a shot in the arm for them before they play us, etc.

If we do go down, I honestly think we need to have a rethink. Either the chairman backs Warne financially or we look to change the manager for someone with a bit more tactical nouse.
