One of the Sun's chief football writers, Neil Custis, defended him a few weeks back saying he's one of the nicest people in football. He also began his tweet by saying 'as a Newcastle fan'..

I went to school with him and he wasn't interested in football in the slightest-he was a hockey and F1 kid.

I'm sure the good folk of twitter neither knew nor cared and he got a stupendous amount of stick for that comment.

    And rightly so.

He knows he can't lose-either he'll keep his job, which he thinks he should, or he'll get a huge payoff, which he thinks he's entitled to.

Like I said, David Moyes left without taking his £3 million payout-a man with no connection to the area. Bruce claims to be a fan, ffs.
I bet he can’t wait to be sacked and ride off with his wedge, back to Cheshire probably, with all his mates, laughing his cock off. He’s a fan!!! Do me a favour,go now Bruce you aren’t worthy!

Can anyone post the stats that usually appear on sky, you know:

    Possession - 10% - rank 20th
    Shots - 20 - rank 20th

Obviously for the season, we’d never have 20 shots in a game under Gimpy.

Its easy to say Jones can step in but he has not got any experience in the top flight, his management tenure at Luton (i think) was a disaster. He is not the answer.

Bruce was not on the shortlist drawn up to replace Rafa, after all the names on the shortlist turned the job down, Steve Bruce was the 10th person they approached out of desperation more than anything.

Before McClown got the sack, the club publicly backed him but in truth were speaking to Benitez in the background.

I genuinely believe Ashleys people will be speaking to Howe and Wilder and hoping to get a deal in place with a substantial bonus if we are kept up.

Social media have reports the players want a meeting with Charnley do discuss how to keep the club in the division, Bruce has lost the dressing room and a large portion of the players want rid of him (probably b0ll0x like)
    I hope you're right, I really do.

But I suspect that we'll have him till he takes us down.

It's even worse than that, Jammy. If we go down, I suspect they'll still keep him on.

Wouldn’t his contract have run out by then?
