I guess long term we expect to stay down?

    3 year contract for Gayle?

We are fully prepared to go down and have no plans to come back up if this is the case.

    Dear me!

Let me just sit down for a minute to recover from the huge wave of ambition from the club that’s just washed over me.

I don’t know, I think with sales of or best players could see us with a budget of around 50m, that should be enough to see with a competitive team in the championship and a decent chance to get back up. It just all depends on who our manager will be.

You can guarantee Ashley will see Bruce as the man to take us back up!

Well with Ashley's poor judgement record and our knowledge of Bruce's incapabilities, should we do go down, which is looking more and more likely day by day, I would say Division 1 beckons more the Prem promotion.

I don’t think so, Bruce will not be manager when full crowd returns to SJP.

Why Give a player who has been rarely used in 4 yrs (and has been out on loan) a 3 year contract?

It's absolutely mental that we give a player we never play a 3 year contract.

But, aye, it signals the extent of our 'ambition'.

Is it april fools day already ? 3 year contract what a joke could maybe see the reasoning in a 1 year deal but 3 is pathetic, why not give Schar a new 3 year deal instead of just extending by 1 year ? Its just an excuse for when we go down no need to spend money on a new striker as we will have hot shot Gayle already at the club.

    Has this been confirmed?

In that case, we are most definitely gearing up for a season in the Fizzy.
