    Religion

I find it amazing that in the twenty first century and with all the technology, and knowledge of evolution and the universe, there are still people who think a good man lives in the sky and a naughty man with horns on his head lives under the ground.
    Crazy or what?😂😂😂😂😂

It is a strange concept indeed Des.

Part of my family are Jehovah’s Witnesses, lives wasted knocking on doors and being told to f u c k off!

I believe in the “Big Bang” theory but can’t wrap my head around how an anomaly occurred out of total nothingness to allow that to happen, for there to be a sudden imbalance of protons and electrons means they themselves had to exist.

Time only exists because we’ve given it a label and we ourselves have a concept of time passing.

It could be that everything has always existed in some format?

They say it’ll all end one day and space will become an empty vacuum......to try and understand this simply watch Steve Bull being interviewed.

What baffles me and always has done is that there is no end to space. How can that be? There has to be an end but what's beyond that? More space, but what's beyond that?

The Universe is expanding at an ever increasing rate, expanding but not into anything because there is nothing there to expand into. There may be other universes and many more than three spacial dimensions. Time is an enigma; what we know as time was thought up based on our planet going around our Sun. Space time is probably very different.

Raised as a Catholic I've gone back & forth on this many times and I guess it comes down to faith vs logic, much of which is derived from scientific theory. I do believe Satan exists having listened to the testimonies of trained exorcists who themselves have taken all reasonable steps to exclude any other explanation such as mental illness. So therefore God must exist too, when you consider how the forces of nature work in equilibrium to maintain life here and the way our bodily systems work (and that of mammals, reptiles etc) if evolution explained everything then at some point we were blind, therefore couldn't find each other and procreate?

I can't explain it, but I believe it along with the existence of a spiritual realm - tin hat on!

I’ve just been out walking the dogs and went past the Baptist Chapel, outside was a sign proclaiming that ‘God thinks you are amazing’! Now, if God is out there somewhere, then it is amazing that there is someone that can read his mind! I think that I am amazing because if I don’t, nobody else will…….!

Whilst not religious I fully respect others have their beliefs and I mean no disrespect with what I'm about to post. You see they just don't happen to be my beliefs.

You're born, you live and then you die. If you're fortunate you live on in the memories of others until they die etc. That's about it from this end of the internet in all honesty.

I'll look like a right mug should I end up at the Pearly Gates only to be turned away. Never mind.

You’re far more likely to end up at the Astle Gates!

Well, when you’re at those Astle Gates you are at the gates of Heaven, aren’t you? At the Shrine, at least!

Evolution is a theory and a very bad one full of holes. It always amazes me how a simple match with four shaved sides and a blob of sulphur on it was clearly made yet a cheetah in full flight or the human brain was the result of an explosion in outer space. As a five year old I could see that things were made by an intelligent source yet millions of people have been sucked in to believing that things just happened.

I’ll pose this question Boingy, if you don’t believe in evolution then how was the supreme being that created our universe created?
