Oldest born player to have played for Notts in the 90-95 top two tiers era was John McClelland, 7th December 1955.
Peter Reid was the next oldest (1956) followed by Don O'Riordan (1957). Then we're into 1960s born players.

Anyone know's who the oldest outfield player to ever play for us? Anyone older than Doyle?
I say outfield because I'm fairly sure that Albert Iremonger is the oldest ever.

Bill Corkhill is the oldest outfield player for Notts, he was 41 when he last played for us in 1951 having been born a few months before we moved in to Meadow Lane. Iremonger was also 41 when he last played but several months older.
In more recent times, Dave Watson in his 2nd spell with us was 38 when he played against Manchester City in May 1985, so Doyle at 39 might be the oldest since Corkhill. I've only got details in my database for players who played between August 1967 and May 1995.

It's interesting that bill corkhill was the oldest player for notts and his grandson Greg tempest turned out for us 61 years later.
