Kind of sums up where we are right now doesnt it?
Two years ago we were securing the services of Damian McCrory to play that role ……this year its this lad.
Damian came with good Championship experience…… this lad ???
    We are going backwards

Really time will tell, McCrory seems to me to carry all the Medals of a crocked player. As I said time will tell.

Well I've heard with a max budget of a grand a week, and many on a lot less what else do people expect.

Welcome to Meadow Lane Joel Taylor, wishing you all the best.

    Seriously?

Rated McCrory when he was fit, unfortunately injury prone. Not dynamic enough from the type of football IB wants to play.

He’s got a point, to be fair. The experienced boys we’ve brought in with Championship seasons under their belt like McCrory, Turner and Thomas have been an unqualified success, and the inexperienced lads like Wootton, Kelly-Evans, Roberts and Rodrigues have all been useless.

Come on mate. We probably gave McCrory 100k in his two seasons with us and he gave us precisely nothing.

If this change of direction makes us more savvy and helps us identify players on the way up instead of down then I'm all for it.

I think the one thing we’ve probably not signed enough of since we were down here is younger players with current experience of this league. It’s all been older lads with a Football League background (most of whom have been fine, albeit you’d say a few probably haven’t delivered what their wages would suggest they should) and younger lads from lower leagues and abroad (a couple of which have been amazing, a couple of which haven’t, which you’d expect).

This summer we’ve gone out and got three youngish players who’ve been playing in this league recently and are rated by fans of their former clubs. Can’t really argue with that IMO, albeit we need a couple more in midfield!

We reached the play off final with all but Rodrigues from the players you mention. Not this year tho even with Rodders
