Jamie Robson must stay, Harkes/Mulgrew etc

I've always rated Robson, never gets credit he deserves, did very well last season overall in his first year in the premiership, made most appearances for us in the squad at only 24, one of the better left backs in the league, coming into his prime

No need to get a new left back, just a back up, hope we can hang onto him

Class that he got the winner after that performance, immense

Also another player that I've always rated Harkes, gets so much stick but is a good player and great athlete, excellent today, delighted for him, don't care what anyone says, both players are good players and that will be proven in the long run, hopefully at United

Eating humble pie as not been impressed with Mulgrew but today he was class, in a four at the back, we must play a four from now on, it's obvious

    LSmith Edwards Mulgrew Robson

    Simple

Fuchs and Butcher (mon the butch!!) both immense too

Hope Chalmers injury isn't a bad one, was having a good game

Hope chalmers not a bad injury.

    Agree totally about Robson

Don’t agree about Harkes as he needs to create more where he plays. He was good today though

Mulgrew I think is great signing. Leader in dressing room and dead ball specialist is a bonus !!

I absolutely agree with a back four.

Especially, if Fuchs is in midfield and Chalmers out wide right. It suits games in this league much better than five at the back.

Personally, I've never dissed Robson. I think Robson has shown gradual improvement year-on-year and gives it all for the jersey. But I think I am in the minority as far as Robson is concerned.

Agree about Robson, I’ve always liked him. He’s been improving over the years and was motm today against THEM.

Also though Harkes was excellent today. They all were though. Loved it.

Hope all arabs are feeling great the night. Nae luck Huns, Dundee United bring their run to an end by defeating them at at Tannadice. Feking Lovely

If it is Robson's last game, some way to go out. I thought that might be Butcher's best game for Utd, though obviously couple of good derby performances too. We need better quality in midfield and attack to hurt teams, Not sure you will get that from combo of Butcher, Harkes, Pawlett, esp breaking teams down. Harkes played well today, but final ball lets him down.

Harkes was sh!t again today, and simply don’t understand why he gets a jersey each week??

Was critical of Pawlett as well last week, but by christ did he put in a performance today. Ok, he only had the legs for 60odd minutes, but fair play, he gave his all in that time.

    Harkes, dearie me…😞

Thought Harkes was decent today tbh. His energy coupled with that of other players swarmed them and knocked them off their stride. Couldn't fault any player, they gave everything and more.
But if we're to progress as a side and achieve the targets of challenging for Cups and European places, aye we need to upgrade.

Energy is one thing, being able to pass a ball, is totally another, and where Harkes continually fails, and I’m not in the minority on that opinion!

I gave credit where it was due in a previous post Shedka, but Harkes was the exception to that..
