I’d rather an insipid loss to Norn Ireland than be Wales at the moment. More worrying than the result is Robertson’s injury imo.
Yeah, but you have to go back to pre-Steve Clarke & 2019 for the majority of those friendlies. We haven't won any of our last three competitive games. Spain, Georgia & Norway. Of course you'd rather be us than Wales, but our form is stinking going into the Euros, not helped by choosing three very difficult friendlies.

Agree with the above 100%,at the time i looked at those three games beforehand and said we should never have taken England and France. It seem's we reached our peak when McTominay scored away to Spain.I know it may seem simplistic but since that goal was chalked off we have fallen off a cliff.

The goals being scored by our midfielders have dried up and it has exposed the massive deficiencies we have in attack,This was clear as day away to Holland where we missed a barrow load of chances before our defence fell to pieces. In the space of a few months i have went from thinking we are finally getting out of a tournament group to we maybe home before the postcards as usual without even scoring an FN goal!.

I think that's probably how a lot of Scotland fans feel. A proper reality check if ever there was one.
Couple of thoughts though, our record in friendlies is terrible, maybe when the heat of competition in Germany comes along we'll find our rhythm again.

Teams that need a result against us especially Hungary and Switzerland will be easier to hit with our counter attacking football than England France and the Netherlands and will commit more. That's when we can maybe get midfielders ahead of the strikers and get back to what we do well.

The worry is that Hickey might miss out, really hope he's back for June because we're so vulnerable down that side. Also our CB pairings are starting to look on the verge of a bombscare at any incoming attack. He needs to decide which is our first choice pair and play them in our next 2 games.

But we've qualified again and that's progress, he needs to let the players play with freedom and see what happens.

This new phone of mine has made it practically impossible to copy a link to post here, but that Hibs free kick yesterday has to be one of the most hilarious things I've seen happen on a football field 🤣
