All in all a much improved performance from last Saturday. We were cruising and comfortable until we inexplicably brought an extra defender on and handed the initiative back to Swindon at the end of the game.
Norman - 5 - Some decent saves but needs to work on thinking about where the ball ends up when it bounces off him. Distribution was better than last week but still pretty poor overall.
Tanner - 6 - Defended well and his pace is an asset at the back.
Armer - 7 - Had a tough afternoon against some pacey players but came through it with flying colours
McDonald - 7 - Solid performance defensively plus won a great header from the long throw which led to the second goal. Distribution could be improved but "no nonsense" was the order of the day
Whelan - 6 - Composed on the ball again, looked a bit lost when we brought an extra central defender on.
Guy - 6 - Put himself about a bit and did a decent, if not outstanding, job defensively.
Riley - 8* - Splendid finish for his goal and the creative heart of our team. And to think, if it hadn't been for Clough's injury he wouldn't have been playing...
Mellish - 5 - Much improved, but still sh1tting himself when he has sight of goal. Actually passed the ball to blue shirts today, which was a refreshing change.
Alessandra - 5 - Still moving and thinking in slow motion, but a lot of what did had decent impact for us.
Abrahams - 6 - A poacher's goal, snaffling up a rebound and looked lively in general. Hopefully he can kick on from this...
Dickenson - 3 - The weakest link, again. Gave a stupid foul away for the goal and with the ball was very poor. The likes of Charters and Bell should be starting ahead of a player almost entirely bereft of form. Correctly substituted but we needed an extra midfielder on the pitch to keep the initiative, not an extra defender.

How do you know where I am in the world right now, bitch?
Where do you reside piglet out of interest?
In the space between the setting sun and the stars, beneath the wings of eagles and at the cusp of a gull's call.
Ah, Flimby.
Or in a pigs effluent pipe. Or on a blade of grass, violently disturb by a horse lifting its tail and unloading a truck full.
