I would agree with that.

I'd go for Indy ref 3 now.

Offer.....everyone born in Scotland can vote, the options are vote for sepratism or vote for for closing Hollyrood and keeping status quo.

Winner takes all.

At the moment SNP can whinge about sepratism, lose vote then within 6 months start whinging again.

This is a terrible way to be governed and now we have the greens who arnt really green, more the gardening wing of the SNP.

Islay, I think the Germans and the French would take a very supportive attitude to an application from an independent Scotland. Think of the trouble they could cause with border issues. They have had a field day with NI and surely they would expect exactly the same arrangements between Scotland and England.

There is one major difference you have forgotten about. There is no Good Friday Agreement to stop a hard border between England and Scotland which will happen to prevent illegal immigrants using an independent Scotland as a back door entry route to England.

In my opinion the Greens are a waste of space as a political party as they are hell bent on destroying businesses throughout Scotland.
Patrick Harvie would be more suited to joining the Scottish Socialist Party.

It’s the reason this board is dying on its feet , and most of the good posters have left and are posting on other boards , I just keep looking in now again hoping it eventually turns back into the once excellent football forum it used to be

To get back on my topic.
Kate Forbes the Cabinet Secretary for Finance is planning to calculate an alternate GERS figure which her predecessor Derek MacKay introduced to justify Scotland becoming an independent country. No doubt Kate Forbes will ‘cook the books’ and ignore all the outgoings whilst only counting the income to justify Nicola’s dream of Scotland becoming an independent country.
According to an article in the Business section of yesterday’s Sunday Times Kate Forbes held a press conference to explain how an independent Scotland would greatly reduce the GERS deficit figures. Her solution is to borrow money on the international bond markets.
However has to be repaid with interest charged on top.
However Kate Forbes who has a degree in History was asked if she knew the current average yields on emerging markets bonds, which an independent Scotland would be subjected to - if it was lucky. Kate Forbes did not know the answer.
Another Scottish Government minister who is in the wrong job.
