Now it’s been established that CUFC is a shop…

…which other shop does it most resemble?

I reckon it’s Grace Brothers. “First floor defenders, midfielders and forwards; going DOWN”

And it’s easy to imagine Jenkins as the young Mr Grace telling Holdsworth, Kidd and Beech “You’re All Doing Very Well”.

Every club is a shop, apart from the select few.

My view is we've done good business at the end of the window. We've brought in upwards of £500k, plus add ons, for one average player and a young out of form player far from the finished article (both of whom we paid zip for).

This money probably covers our losses for the season.

We've also brought in an experienced right-back (possibly an improvement defensively on Tanner) and a decent looking defender from the top flight. The Whelan / McDonald partnership looked solid enough before we tried to shoe horn Feeney in there.

Plus we paid a fee for a player. It might not have been the position we should have been filling, but the point is we did re-invest some capital. So the thought was there...
