See our long delayed QR code vaccination certificate isn't compatible with QR readers abroad and therefore doesn't work in France, Italy, Germany and most other countries. Once again Scotland sets up it's own system for no reason other than to be different and awkward and cocks it all up. What is it with us and messing up IT systems? Couldn't organise the proverbial piss up in a brewery our 'esteemed' leader and her useless party.
But it's a Scottish vaccine passport based on our NHS information, is that really the type of information you want made generally available outside the NHS?
Surely if you're in Italy you need an Italian one based on their healthcare system? Is there an international vaccine passport in existence tat they could have bought into? Can Italians use theirs here? Can they use it in Germany? Is there an EU one that we can't get use of and another example of the massive balls up made of Brexit by Boris and his rich cronies on the take rather than a failure in organisation by the Scottish Government?
The Uk one, i.e. the one that Scotland ignored to set up their own system, is compatible with the systems abroad but the Scottish one isn't. The info contained in it is Name, Address, DOB and details of where the person got both jags and the vaccine used. It is nothing to do with the French, Italians etc. to set up; all the businesses over there are asking for is proof of both jags and you can access services, go into bars/restaurants etc. I actually agree with you that it is not ideal to have such info bandied about here in the case of our limited requirement to prove vaccination status or abroad for all the services that it is required for. Paper copies without the QR code are not being accepted leaving scots not able to enter bars and restaurants that similar English tourists can. I suppose it is a matter of 'forced' choice in these ridiculous times. You can go abroad without this info/certificate/QR code as a lot of the countries allow us in with lesser 'stuff' but you wont have the same experience when there. The point I was making was that if we hadn't been so pig headed/ignorant and bought into a UK certification the there would not have been a problem. But of course that is not the SNP way, better to cause complications, sow seeds of grievance and do what they normally do a total b0llocks of it all.
