It would have been miraculous even with Stokes in the the team, without him it was never going to happen.

I'll say one thing, this test series against India has been exciting and its had its talking points. Not all of them good though as far as we're concerned.

Ohh and we/Yorkshire took a really big stick to Summerrrsett today, without messrs Root and Bairstow etc.

I’m with you BT his action is poor and no one says anything it’s basically thrown down the wicket not bowled

I always thought a throw was judged by elbow straightening, the wrist action had nothing to do with it ?

He chucks it sinkov, I don't care if he has a wonky wrist or a broken elbow, he's a chucker, plain and simple.

    Then why isn't he being no-balled ?

Simple really, sinkov, as you know. His action does not break the laws, therefore, there is no reason to no-ball him.

Here you are BT, nothing wrong with his action.

"A ball is fairly delivered in respect of the arm if, once the bowler's arm has reached the level of the shoulder in the delivery swing, the elbow joint is not straightened partially or completely from that point until the ball has left the hand. This definition shall not debar a bowler from flexing or rotating the wrist in the delivery swing."
