Apparently we already spend the least time training out of all the Prem clubs and it's not like the training ground will be empty given the few international players we have. He himself said he coaches the defence and our shape has been rotten so far...so stay and work on the shape, ffs-only Schar and Krafth are missing so he's got more or less the whole defence to train with.
Plus, the timing sends out all the wrong messages. From the end of last season until the first game of this, the players, coaches and Bruce had 11 weeks. And it's not like Bruce was busy buying players or helping new squad members settle in, is it. In that context, going on holiday 3 weeks into the new season when it's crystal clear there's a huge amount of work to be done just adds to the sense that the only people who actually care about the club are the fans.

No matter. The amount of training our team does considering the performance/results obtained borders on negligence.
Bruce would no doubt argue that it’s done to improve team moral/look after player fitness. But, after 2 seasons that’s not working is it? So, it suits a lazy, apathetic manager in charge of a team with some similarly minded players.
