Don't necessarily agree, I'm not sure you can crystallise the charge on the ground without going through liquidation, and, as you say there ain't no other assets much.

From a glass half full perspective.....
We have the bare bones of a squad. Under the current situation we a) don't have many sellable players and b) due to the short remaining contracts of about 14 of the 23 man squad, we wouldn't get much for them anyway.
The biggest amount would come from selling the club. That can only be helped by having the team playing well and getting results. Best way to achieve that is to NOT sell players. If, and it's a big if, the administrator agrees with that scenario, it can only be good for results and possible survival. Either way I expect a mass exodus come July 2022.
all depends on the administrator and how actually serious any potential buyers are MA. We MAY be helped by the fact we have 15 weeks before the transfer window opens. The administrators cannot, I believe, break EFL rules and sell players, simply because there will be no buyers, so we 'have what we have', no more no less and the administrators will, I guess, treat the playing side as a 'going concern' - PLUS, depending on the nature of contracts, players can't just be 'let go' to save the wage bill anyway as they have fixed term contracts to honour. Again I defer to GP if he says such contracts are null and void in this case
Players could still be made redundant, no discrimination between FTA and perm. Might have good protection in their contracts for notice pay, but can still be let go. I think (not been through it to know full ins and outs) they become a creditor if done within a certain period, so might be a cashflow benefit to DCFC if nothing else. Worrying time for staff without the protection the players might have though.
We're ****ed. Unless a rich oil tycoon type comes in we're totally done for.
A 12 point deduction is the least of our worries, 21 points at this stage would be heaven if your a Derby fan
We're going and its quite sad
It has to be recognised, liquidation may be the only option for the Administrators!
We cannot be allowed to continue to trade with substantial losses and no likelihood of a cash influx from whatever source!
Thats true, but if there is no clause providing for early notice of termination in the contract then the full amount of salary until the end of the contract would be payable which would mean no saving.
On a separate note, I have to say that Rooney seems to have acted very loyally in this situation and has managed to get the team playing despite the circumstances so all credit to the guy.
Can we change the thread title from looming to loomed?
Quantuma appointed today so we are now, officially the strongest team in the League..... holding the rest up
Their blurb on the dcfc site sounds promising. Let's hope they are successful in satisfying both creditors and fans.
