Interesting appointment, I suspect he'll do well.

However, I do think he'll see Villa as a stepping stone job, not a dig at Villa, I'd think the same if he'd come here.

Done Rangers, to win some silverware and get a prem job, prove himself at Villa and the make move for Liverpool when it comes up.

Of the two, happier with Eddie but think Gerrard will do well there.

Be good to see Lampard at Norwich as well.

Gerrard was my first choice ahead of Howe, I'll not go into why.

But, when Howe was appointed and ahead of the Gerrard appointment at Villa, I thought, Howe is good for us. No huge fanfare or media circus, just slipped in under the old Radar there, unlike the takeover.

We need to let the player's and coaching staff get down to the job of winning games now, minus the frenzy of the media.

Howe will do well I think, to keep Bournemouth in the prem as long as he did proves he has the credentials to take on a bigger job. I also think Gerrard will do well for us, he has to if he wants the Liverpool job when Klopp goes in '24 - our players need a boot up the ar$e.

Norwich will be an interesting one - will they go for a keep them up specialist like Bruce or Big Sam, or play the longer game with Lampard, Smith or even Nuno?

Well Lampard has pulled out now, have heard that Smith was interviewed as well.

Could see him there as well to be honest.

Did Chris Wilder end up at the Smoggies? I think he'd be a good fit.

And I agree, I think Gerrard will do well. I think Villa have a decent squad who've lost their way.

Maybe, not convinced him doing well will do enough to promote them though.

When was the last time they were in the prem?
